Welcome to 2025, and everybody buckle up.
The USA has re-elected a would-be fascist to the Presidency (this is not a debate). Trump meets all of the criteria for fascism in action.
We (myself and my wife and cats) are moving to California later this year. We are certainly not staying in Texas, which is governed by intolerant assholes. Plus, living where we plan to live in California, we can be in the Sierras in 2 hours and at the Pacific Coast in 2 hours. Best of both worlds. We both grew up by the ocean, and we are happiest there.
Everybody needs to hunker down, and expect the unexpected. We could end up with a massive recession by the end of 2025, if the Trump administration is dumbfuck enough. At the minimum I expect significant governmental, legal and societal turbulence.
